Madeleine and Daniel Explore Paris.

Madeleine at Madeleine
One of our first things to do was to visit the "metro station that Madeleine was named after"..... This is not entirely true but it's a good story! So, we found our way on the metro to the Madeleine station, saw the Madeleine church, and the Madeleine Plaza Hotel and had lunch at the Cafe Madeleine.

We then hopped back on the metro and found our way to the Pompidou Centre. This is famous for having all its services on the outside. We then walked to Notre Dame and marvelled at the queues outside as well as the gargolyes and "flying buttresses". We managed to find a sandpit in a park nearby and then Dad decided he needed a coffee.... luckily a nice cafe was nearby.

Mum and dad decided to give us a lesson in perspective and so you see these photos of us touching the top of the Eiffel tower..... Dad thinks this is especially clever as we are eating an ice cream at the same time!

  1. It must have been fun to visit the Madeleine area again. The photos of the "perspective lesson" are great and it looks like you had really good weather for your stay in Paris.
You have certainly grown a lot since 2006, Madeleine! Lots of love, Nanna and Pop
